Have you an idea for a project within County Longford?  Is farming no longer an adequate source of income and you have an innovative initiative in mind for your land/farm buildings?  Maybe you want to set up or develop your own business!  Would you like to develop your local village/area?  Have you an environmental initiative in mind?  You or your group may be eligible for RDP grant assistance!!

RDP Grant aid is available under 7 measures:

  1. Diversification into non-agricultural activities
  2. Business Creation & Development
  3. Encouragement of Tourism Activities
  4. Basic Services for the Economy and Rural Population
  5. Village Renewal & Development
  6. Conservation & Upgrading of the Rural Heritage
  7. Training & Information

A FREE public talk on ‘Positive Parenting and ways to developing good homework routines’ will be held in the Longford Arms Hotel on Thursday 23rd February from 8:00pm-9:30pm.  The talk will be given by Conor Owens, HSE Senior Psychologist and Project Director with the Longford Westmeath Parenting Partnership.
